Object

The object of the game is to move all the cards to the foundations.

Layout

  • 1 deck (52 cards), 1 redeal
  • The first card dealt is known as the base card
  • 1 stock pile with 16 cards (top left), all cards faced down
  • 4 foundation piles (right from the waste). The first pile contains the base card while another three piles are empty.
  • 7 reserve pile (below stock and foundations) each containing one card faced up.
  • 7 tableau piles (below reserves). The first pile contains one card, the second pile contains two cards, the third pile contains three card, and so on. All cards are faced up.

Rules

Stock: Click on the stock to move one card to each reserve pile. There is no redeal.

Reserves: The top card can be moved to a foundation pile or to a tableau pile.

Foundations: Build up in suit, from base card (which is the first card dealt and may vary for each game). Ranking of cards is continuous so you may build Ace after King if necessary. The top card of a foundation pile can be moved back to the tableau.

Tableau: Build down in alternating colors. The top card of each pile can be moved to the foundations or to the tableau. Packed sequence of cards (cards that are sorted down in alternating colors) may be moved to another tableau pile. When tableau pile is empty, it can be filled only with card which is one rank lower than the base card. For example, if the base card is Queen, only Jacks can be moved to empty tableau piles. If the base card is Ace, Kings can fill empty spaces. Ranking of cards is continuous so you may build King to Ace if necessary.
